The Christiansburg Fire Department and Rescue Squad will be sponsoring a Poker Run on Saturday with all the proceeds from the event being donated to the families of Montgomery County Sheriff Cpl. Eric Sutphin and Montgomery Regional Hospital Security Officer Derrick McFarland, who both lost their lives in the line of duty recently.
Registration will start at 8 a.m at the Christiansburg Fire Department on Depot Street and bikers should be out and ready to ride by 11:30 a.m. The run will end at Texas Roadhouse Restaurant on Rte.114, next to Wal-Mart. Price per hand is $10 and Texas Roadhouse is also sponsoring the event. There will also be door prizes and food. For additional information call 392-1924. |
