Fundraiser for fallen heroes

Ben & Jerry's in Blacksburg, 109 Washington Street (Kent Square), will sponsor a benefit to assist the families of Derrick McFarland and Officer Eric Sutphin.   On Wednesday, August 30, from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m., Ben & Jerry's will donate 50 percent of the pre-tax sales for this event to a fund for both families. Donations may also be made at the store.
